Au niveau f\u00e9d\u00e9ral, provincial et territorial, il est temps de mettre \u00e0 jour les lois sur la vie priv\u00e9e dans les secteurs public et priv\u00e9 afin de prot\u00e9ger et de servir les gens partout au Canada en cette p\u00e9riode de technologies en rapide \u00e9volution et d\u2019\u00e9rosion rapide de la vie priv\u00e9e.   <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"335559740\":257}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Les r\u00e9sidents canadiens sont r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement sollicit\u00e9s par le secteur priv\u00e9, et maintenant de plus en plus par le secteur public, de faire confiance aux promesses concernant les avantages des usages innovants des donn\u00e9es. Cependant, le fait que les technologies permettent une collecte accrue et diff\u00e9rents usages de nos renseignements personnels ne change pas fondamentalement les attentes selon lesquelles ceux qui souhaitent utiliser nos renseignements ont le devoir envers les r\u00e9sidents de respecter nos droits, y compris, mais sans s\u2019y limiter, notre droit \u00e0 la vie priv\u00e9e. Dans un monde o\u00f9 les risques de collecte excessive, de partage inattendu et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 inad\u00e9quate apparaissent quotidiennement dans les m\u00e9dias, dans les lettres de notification de violation que la plupart d\u2019entre nous ont re\u00e7ues d\u2019une entreprise (autrefois) digne de confiance, et dans le ciblage omnipr\u00e9sent qui envoie des publicit\u00e9s ou des articles \u00e0 nos diff\u00e9rents comptes en ligne avec une pr\u00e9cision qui r\u00e9v\u00e8le une connaissance d\u2019aspects de nos vies que nous n\u2019avons pas consciemment choisi de partager,  Les gouvernements ont la responsabilit\u00e9 de s\u2019assurer que leur politique d\u2019information \u00e9tablit une norme plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e. Les messages texte sur son t\u00e9l\u00e9phone ont \u00e9t\u00e9 jug\u00e9s irrecevables parce que leur utilisation violerait le droit de Nour d\u2019\u00eatre \u00e0 l\u2019abri des perquisitions et saisies; l\u2019\u00e9quipe d\u2019enqu\u00eate a donc r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9 un iPhone appartenant \u00e0 une autre personne qui avait re\u00e7u des textos de Nour, et a tent\u00e9 de les utiliser comme preuve.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n<p>Les communications orales au Canada sont prot\u00e9g\u00e9es et n\u00e9cessitent un mandat pour \u00eatre obtenues, et comme de plus en plus de personnes utilisent les textos pour communiquer, nous avons soutenu que la communication \u00e9crite devrait aussi b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de la m\u00eame vie priv\u00e9e.
